Some will say my flow is slow, but I will complete my course, steady as I go.

For the words I speak are truth and life

To rush through them, run through them and leave them on the mic

Would be a discredit to the author

Not me,

But Christ

For in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.

He was I Am

Before the creation of man

Who am I to question His plan?

He knew me before He formed me

My days written in His book

These words I speak aren’t just a hook to grab your attention and make you say “wow”

But to show you the light till your tongue confesses and your knees bow down

To the Lord of lords and King of kings to the creator and sustainer of all living things –

GOD

This God I speak of has always been

He has no beginning

He has no end

Our finite minds cannot fully grasp the totality of His immortality, even in our spirituality

So, we rely on faith

The substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen

I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ

for it is the power of God unto salvation to all who believe

God in the flesh, Jesus, died for our sin

He paid the penalty for the mess we were in

The blood of bulls and rams could not suffice to pay the price

Only the Lamb of God who laid down his life

No one took it. He gave it freely and said:

“Father forgive them, for they know not what they do”

I have finished my course, now it’s up to you

Jesus descended down low to make a way

It was there that he conquered death, hell and the grave

Victory took captivity captive putting them on display

He purchased our freedom with the blood that he shed

And three days later he rose from the dead

The tomb it is empty with no body to be found

Jesus told Mary to run to the disciples and report what she found

He, Jesus, is risen – He is alive

I heard him and saw him with my own eyes

At first, they doubted what she said

Still tormented by grief that their friend and Savior was dead

As they hid in a room out of fear of a raid

Jesus appeared to them and said “don’t be afraid”

Look at my hands and feet that were pierced

It is me Jesus, no longer doubt

Did I not say this would come about?

I will not leave you comfortless, my peace I do give

In the form of the Spirit who in you now lives

I must go to my Father, to my rightful place

Where I will intercede always for you my saints

The accuser will come and lies will be told

But run to my throne room, run and be bold

You have been sanctified – justified through faith in me

There’s no condemnation here, you’ve been set free

Ask whatever you will in my name and it’s done

For I’m in the Father and He is in the Son – I’ve given you the Spirit so now we are one

If you abide in me and I in you

You will fulfill your purpose and bear good fruit

Love one another as I have loved you

Forgiving transgressions, yet speaking the truth

You are my disciples if you do what I said

It is for life that I died and was raised from the dead

A time is coming, though the day is not known

Where I will return for my bride and bring her home

A church without blemish or spot I will find

Expectantly waiting and living the life

Because of my blood that was shed for all sin

All who accept me will enter in

I Am that I Am, the Word in the flesh

Jehovah

Yahweh

Jesus of Nazareth.
